Still Life – Conwy

(Above- Still Life by the Still Life group!)

In October last year, The Big Lottery granted funding for our Still Life art workshops, for people in Conwy who have been bereaved.

If you are over 16,  have lost someone important, and would like to join a group where everybody has a shared experience of how that feels – whether the person you’ve lost was a relative,  friend or colleague – please join us.

This isn’t art therapy, and we aren’t counsellors, but it is a chance to leave difficult feelings at the door for the couple of hours and focus on something completely different.

Cruse bereavement counsellors usually take part in the art group each week, and wlll be available to talk privately, in a separate room .

We are ALWAYS open to ideas and suggestions. If there’s an artform you would like to try, please let us know!

We have an open door policy so feel free to drop in for ten minutes if you would like to see what’s going on, before commiting to a full session.

Come at 3  o clock and we will make you a cup of tea when we stop for our break!!

We meet every Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm at St Mary’s Church Hall, on Rosehill Street, Conwy. October. Forthcoming sessions are:

October 8 – designing and making a landscape in felt – with Beryl Naybour

October 15 – making lanterns for Gwledd Conwy Feast – with Ruth Bitowski

October 22- creating ink patterns –  with Sian Hughes
